THE FRENCH ALPS
Situated in the south-eastern part of France, the French Alps is famous as the most popular ski destination in the world. The French Alps host the highest peak in Europe (the Mont Blanc and its 4,810m peak), numerous ski resorts from the traditional mountain villages (Chatel, Megeve, Samoens, etc) to the purpose-built ski-in ski-out resorts (Les Arcs, Tignes, Flaine, etc). The best destinations are mostly in the northern Alps and this is where we, at Findhomeabroad, select 95% of our new-build ski property developments. The regions in northern Alps are the Haute-Savoie (where we tend to have more of our new ski properties whether chalets or apartments, also it is closer to Geneva airport which is convenient), Savoie and Isere.
The northern Alps offer all the mountain scope one could wish for, from the international renowned ski resort to the charming Alpine village, extensively-linked ski domains, cross-country skiing as well as mountain biking and trekking not to forget the summer activities which gain more and more importance for savvy ski property investors.
