The wines

From these grapes the A.O.C. wines (French for ”wine of controlled origin”) Banyuls and Collioure are produced. The wines are the result of hard labor; vintage is extremely difficult due to the steep slopes on which the vines grow. The wine-growers can be very proud of their work: a great deal of love and courage is needed to cultivate grapes on these hills where no machinery can be used. This very traditional form of vintage and the remarkable climate in the south of France create wines full of character and life.
